Jyoti -FR-163 is an electric insulating heat curing impregnating varnish based on epoxy melamine. The material does not contain by recipe substances listed in Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive (2002/95/EC)

• Jyoti-FR-163 A is processed by all conventional impregnating methods, such as dipping, rolling or flooding. It can also be processed under vacuum.  In this case, the vacuum should not drop below 20 mbar to avoid high solvent evaporation. The most advantageous impregnating method in each case depends on the given technical possibilities of the plant, the structure of the components, and the demands placed on the object to be impregnated under operating conditions.
• Jyoti -FR-163 displays low susceptibility to the influence of foreign substances, such as punching grease, oils or primers, however, contamination of the varnish should be avoided as much as possible. After drainage time of 15-45 minutes at room temperature, the product is cured in the circulating-air oven at the temperatures and periods of time given. For large objects or those with a complicated winding structure a two-stage curing process is recommended to ensure removal of the solvents.

Areas of Application: Jyoti CPV14000 is suitable for insulation of hot or cold rolled core sheets. Punched laminations are suitable for electrical machines such as motors, fans, hydro and turbo generators etc

Proprties of Cured Material: The cured film has remarkably good adhesion and punching quality. A temperature index of 155 enables the varnish Jyoti CPV14000 to be used for machines in thermal class F (1550C).

Appplicataion Methods: 

• Jyoti CPV14000 is applied with the help of rubber rollers in a conveyorised oven. The thickness of the varnish film is adjusted with the help of roller pressure and thinning the varnish with Jyoti Thinner CPV14000. The curing of varnish film takes place progressively in a heated oven, where temperature is maintained in the range of 350-4500C.
• For varnish film of 5 to 10 um, curing period of 2 to 3 minutes depending on the length of heating oven is necessary for achieving required electrical and mechanical properties. Good exhaust of volatile solvent vapors from curing oven is necessary

In electrical machines, Jyoti 151 J is used both for manufacturing and repairing the following Thermal class H (180) objects:

• The cured varnish film is characterized by high flexibility very good elastic properities, toughness, adhesion and extra high bonding strength at the operating temperature.
• Jyoti -F-150 is resistance to humidity, mild acids and alkalies and chemicals. The cured varnish film possesses very good dielectric properities.
• Jyoti -F-150 is recommended for all type of electricals equipment such as high speed rotor, armatures, locomotive motors and large machines where increased
• Flexibility and thermal class F(155 degreeC) is requires.

• Jyoti-B-192 is an air-drying insulating varnish based on phenolic resin. It is fast air drying and useful for thermal class B(130o C). It is used as finishing varnish and impregnating varnish to protect electrical machines and appliances against moisture and chemicals.
• The elastic varnish film is characterized by very good mechanical properties such as hardness, flexibility, penetration, adhesion and bonding   strength. The cured film is resistance to moisture, dilute acids, alkalis, chemicals like benzene & toluene oils and tropical climate from OoC to 55oC. It has good dielectric behavior and dielectric strength.

Application Method: Jyoti -B-192 can be applied by spraying, brushing & dipping methods. Curing occurs at room temperature but can be made faster by heat. The supplied is used   in application methods and second coat is done after 60 minutes, if desired. The varnish filled tank is covered tightly to prevent losses of solvents viscosity can be well maintained. Otherwise THINNER-B-192 is used to adjust optimum viscosity.
