Description: Jyoti 1520F/Hardener 17055/ Accelerator 1803M is a three component heat curing epoxy system. Jyoti 1520 F is a solventless liquid resin of medium viscosity based on bisphenol A. Hardener 17055 is yellow coloured low viscosity, modified carbolic anhydride type hardener. Accelerator 1803 M is amine based low viscosity, dark brown liquid. For most application addition of 2 or 3 more components such as flexibilizer EP09, silica filler & Jyoti (brown) are employed. The curing of epoxy system takes place at elevated temperature by poly addition reaction. The resultant cured mass is hard with excellent electrical insulation, mechanical and thermal properties.

Areas of Application :

  • Casting & potting of high voltage coils, transformers and switchgear.
  • Impregnation of instrument transformers.
  • Binder for glass fibre fabric and filament wound tubes &laminates.

Properties of cured material:
Jyoti 1520F system cures into hard & tough mass after curing at elevated temperature. The cured mass has good adhesion to metals and most plastics. The addition of fillers like silica. Alumina etc. improve heat conduction, mechanical properties and dimensional stability. The cured mass has excellent dielectric properties and track resistance. The resin system, in combination with other heat insulation material, is suitable for class F (155 degreeC) components & machines.

Application Method:

  • Jyoti 1520F system is best processed at warm temperatures of 50-600C It is best to make a premix of Jyoti 1520F + Flexibilizer EP09 + silica or other filler + Jyoti (brown) or other colour paste at 60 degreeC. To this premix Hardener 17055 and accelerator 1803M should be added last. The mixture is best processed at 60 degreeC for sufficiently long pot life and low processing viscosity. Mixing ratio as specified must be followed for best results.
  • Mould used for casting must first be treats with a mould releasing agent. For this purpose, a baking finish of compound stored for 4-6 hours at 150 degreeC and polishing with silicone paste, thereafter, are best suited.

Description:
  • Jyoti 1762 designates a solvent-free, low viscous, epoxy based trickle resin. Furthermore, this combination is noted for its very good penetration, especially for windings with thin wires.
  • Jyoti Hardener 1762 is a polyamine with a slightly yellow and transparent appearance and a low physiological effectiveness. Curing of the resin compound is a polyaddition reaction, which occurs under the effect of heat until a duroplastic cured material is produced. Polymerisation is initiated by mixing the two components and under the effect of heat proceeds as a rapid chain-reaction until a three-dimensionally cross-linked, duroplastic cured material is produced. The material does not contain by recipe substances listed in Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive (2002/95/EC).

Areas of Application:
Preferred applications for Jyoti 1605 trickle resin combined with Jyoti Hardener 1762:
  • Repair shops
  • Windings of machines with high chemical requirements
  • Armatures of hand tools, household machines, universal motors, etc.

Properties of cured material:
  • After curing there is a hard cured material, which is noted for its exceptional adhesion to various materials. The cured material also displays very good resistance to tropical influences, solvents, weak lyesalkalies as well as oil and allows impregnated objects to be used even under extreme conditions.
  • The high bonding strength of this combination imparts good mechanical stability to the impregnated windings. The combination JYOTI 1605 plus JYOTI HARDENER 1762 can be used for machines in thermal class B (130??C). Owing to low volume shrinkage this combination also cures without cracks in thick layers and can thus also be used to protect the windings, e.g. from carbon brush abrasion or abrasive dusts.
  • Jyoti 1605 + Jyoti HARDENER 1762 due to its high bond strength offers increased resistance to centrifugal forces for large size armatures, thus preventing wire shifting & improving itslife. Application Method JYOTI 1605 in combination with JYOTI HARDENER 1762 can be processed in all conventional trickling plants. For a better penetration it is of advantage to reduce the viscosity of the resin by slightly raising the heating temperature. In accordance with the trickle impregnation principle, a thin stream of the activated resin is applied to the rotating and heated winding. The resin immediately adopts the temperature of the windings, becomes considerably more thin-fluid and distributes itself uniformly throughout the winding as a result of rotation and capillary forces. The pre- heating temperature of the objects should range between 800C and 1200C. Gelling and curing usually occurs in a circulating air oven or by current heating under rotation.
  • The typical trickle process parameters are as follows :Pre-heating to 100-110°C for 2-15 min.,rotation 20-30 rpm, inclination angle 8-10° trickling and gelling at 90- 100°C curing at 120-130°C for 5-30.

Description: Jyoti 14401/ Jyoti Hardener 1200 is a two component, room temperature curing, polyurethane based casting resin system. Jyoti 14401 is a filled solventless, reddish brown coloured resin. Jyoti Hardener 1200 is an aromatic isocynate. Resin & hardener components on mixing cures by a polyaddition reaction at room temperature & gives flexible cured mass.

Areas of Application:
Casting, potting and encapsulation of electrical & electronic components. Sealing of cable Joint on low & high voltage cables. Jyoti 14401 particularly has improved adhesion for cross linked polyethylene (XL PE) cables.

Properties of cured material:
  • Jyoti 14401 + H 1200 cures with low volume shrinkage and low exotherm to give a stress-free cured mass. The elasticity of the cured casting resin produces extremely favourable temperature cycling behavior.
  • The cured casting resin is further distinguished by good resistance to tracking. The resin system is suitable for use in electrical components working up to 120°C(Class E)

Application Method:
The resin component Jyoti 14401 should be first stirred, since the filler on long storage has settling tendency. Jyoti 14401 & Jyoti Hardener 1200 should then be mixed in recommended proportion at room temperature (20 - 40°C) and used for casting or potting, within the potlife (usable life of mixture) Jyoti 14401 + Jyoti Hardener 1200 is a fast reactive system hence has limited pot life
